2) Logistics Module
Main task of the Logistics Module (LM) is to be an intermediary between the Drone Delivery System and customer in preparation of shipment orders.
LM has a real-time overview of Drone Delivery System resources and operating conditions and thus supports customers in preparation of shipment planning and confirmations. Role of LM is specified as follows:
- During the shipment preparation phase LM proposes the best possible time for delivery.
- LM has a connection with the Delivery Status Monitoring Module and is an intermediary for goods delivery status queries by customers.
- Upon arrival of shipment at the destination, the confirmation is sent by LM to the accounting module for final settling of accounts.
