6) Charging Station
The main task of the charging station (CS) is to supply the drone with energy before the next mission. When the drones are in charging mode, it cannot be used. So, to decrease the outage, the empty batteries shall be simply replaced by fully loaded ones and then the drone usage is not influenced by charging cycle time.
CS has three basic tasks – (1) automatically recharge empty batteries, (2) automatically replace the drained batteries for a charged one, and (3) increase service distance.
